An exciting collaboration effort between SiteJacket & the incredible Mingo Mingo Studio. The client needed a brand new website as their old one was a tad dated and beset with security issues, and they specified that they wanted to retain most of the content control with full training on how to do so.
Along with the training, the client also specified ongoing tech support to ensure a consistent web presence. Laura from Mingo Mingo came up with a beautiful design catering for all of BHA’s requirements, along with a fresh branding package including a beautiful new company logo.
Work began on the website after Mingo Mingo Studio had completed their branding overhaul. This made the overall design of the new site easy, as it could incorporate elements of the new branding. After consultations with the client, who detailed their exact requirements, and Laura from Mingo Mingo who created the design and layout for the website, I began constructing the website. Knowing the client wished to retain full content control, I implemented the most recent version of the content management system WordPress which is an easy-to-use CMS allowing clients an efficient way to upload and manage the content they wished to display.
After creating a sitemap I set to work bringing Laura’s design to life by customising a basic WP template to match her ideas. Once the pages were built and the content received from the client, I set about ensuring the site’s security by installing certain WP plugins along with a regular backup schedule in case of any future cyberattacks. As the site was being built, I wrote a guide to assist the client as part of their training for when they wished to update the website themselves.
The website was finished and deployed towards the end of 2020, marking it the last website of the year produced by SiteJacket. Claire Hegarty, one of Butler Hegarty Architects directors and chief liaison on the project, enthused over the modern, clean design. She was also more than happy with the security options I presented the clients ensuring the website’s stability going onwards. This was a hugely exciting project to work on and a great way to round out what was assuredly a peculiar year for everybody.
I employ Joe to build websites which I design for branding clients. Collaborating with Joe on the design and build of a website for an established architect has been a pleasure and a breeze. I trust him fully to communicate directly with my design clients and appreciate his extensive knowledge and enthusiasm, as well as his ability to find solutions to every challenge that he is posed. Joe's communication is prompt, professional and jargon-free, putting the client at ease. I look forward to working with Joe again in the future.
